Anti LGBT Hate : 5 Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Hate The LGBTQ

lgbt-1.png

The LGBTQ community has been receiving lots of hate from the “straight” community as of late, and to top that off, they’re being dogged by the religious groups, who are “damning” the LGBTQ for being truly and unabashedly themselves. Where in the world is all this hate coming from and what seems to keep the hate fire going?

The reason lies in the logic of “straight” people, who think that being an LGBTQ is against nature and the norms of society. Couple that with some resistance from the pious people who cite scriptures and label the LGBTQ as a community that “goes against the will of God” and you have the perfect recipe that brings about the LGBTQ hate.

But, what if we tell you that we should not be hating the LGBTQ just because they may be a bit different from us or not be in line with our religious beliefs? Here are just 5 of the reasons that we could think about why we shouldn’t hate on the LGBTQ community.

Reasons of why you shouldn’t hate the LGBTQ

#1 They’re Humans Too

Lots of people, in their enthusiasm to conform with social and religious norms, forget that everyone, no matter how different they may be, are humans as well. The LGBTQ community may have different principles and ways of doing things but that does not make them any less human than we are. They are beings with feelings, awareness and an absolute existence. Spewing hate onto them is the same as you spewing hate onto a random passerby or even your neighbor. At this rate, no one is getting brownie points for “Love thy neighbor”.

#2 They Are Amazing People

From personal experience, I have never met a member of the LGBTQ community that has ever said a mean thing. Wherever they go, they lift spirits and spread happiness and love. Aside from that, they’re always ready to lend a helping hand or a shoulder to cry on for anyone that needs it. Basically, when you hang with the LGBTQ crowd, you can expect to receive a whole lot of heart,

#3 They Are True To Themselves

The LGBTQ community is fiercely proud of who they are and they are not ashamed to admit their true self, even in the face of hate that comes in from every direction possible. There are still many people out there who can barely find themselves and are relying on personalities of their friends and families to give themselves a face or identity. But, not the LGBTQ community. If anything, they empower you to be who you truly are, celebrate your differences and flaws and teach you how to stand tall in the face of resistance.

#4 They Can’t Help How They Are

The LGBTQ are born as they are and it’s not a “disease” that you can “cure”. (flash news : pray the gay away is cancelled) Some may be born physically as men, yet have a much softer side and prefer more feminine things. On the other side of the coin, they may be born as a female, but they identify with hanging out with the boys, getting down and dirty and are always up for some rough playground fun. And that’s only the tip of it all.

The signs are fairly clear in childhood, so if you’re seeing them in your child, you’ll need to prepare to help them with their journey into discovering who they really are.

#5 They Are Also Functional Members Of Society

Many of the LGBTQ community have been great achievers and pillars within their society. Great scientists like Alan Turing and inventor Leonardo Da Vinci, came up with great inventions and discoveries that led humanity further forward. Musicians like Elton John, playwrights like William Shakespeare, actors like Jim Parsons, all of them have been contributors in entertainment and the talent pool of humanity.

Lots of other LGBTQ personalities are out there, empowering people to be who they are and to accept differences, with the one goal, to make a change in how human see other humans.

Less Hate More Love To THE LGBTQ

The LGBTQ community is a group of absolutely precious personalities and in my personal opinion, are a gift to the world. They embody what it is to be truly human, to accept individualities and to come together as one to make a case for humanity, despite the hate that they face on a daily basis.

If you’re a member of the LGBTQ community and are receiving hate email or hate texts, our Reverse Email Lookup and Reverse Phone Lookup would be able to help you uncover the face of your hate mail sender.
