It seems that those with a little bit of extra cash to spend have been going around buying their way into colleges, buying admissions, grades and even whole academic qualifications. A college admissions scam, also known as academic admissions fraud, is committed when someone buys themselves or their relatives a spot in an educational institution, without having the proper qualifications that match the requirements for admissions in that particular school.
Such acts are common among the wealthier community but there are some middle-income folks that lay everything they have to pay for such fraudulent methods of putting their kids through college in the country’s most prestigious institutions.

The main driver of such fraudster behavior is the presence of money in the equation. Colleges should monitor each and every admission as closely as possible and every academic qualification submitted along with their admission request must be checked to see if they are truly authentic.
Aside from that, those working in admissions should be paid well, so that the bribes being offered don’t seem tempting enough, compared to their actual salary. Strict, no-tolerance policies should also be introduced so that any member of faculty found to be colluding with an outsider for a fake admission would be immediately removed from their position. This preserves the integrity of the admissions in a learning institution.
College admissions scams happen in almost every college and it’s up to us to ensure that we get a quality education the right way, and not by using the force of money. Even though it might seem like a quick way out for the time being, doing so can bring nothing but detriment to the national education system and cause the economy to crash, in the long-term.
